Eradicating Fires - Bringing Legacy to Light for Generations to Come
Ensuring that no one has to play hero for you

Friday, April 13, 2012. Was it a bad luck day or an all-is-right with the world moment? Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker was returning home from a TV interview when he observed commotion at the apartment building next door. The residents were forming frantic groups on the sidewalk as they waited for firefighters to arrive. Along with everyone else, he reacted to sound of "I'm upstairs" coming from the second floor. The newspapers reported that Mr. Booker, "followed by his security detail," ran in, climbed the stairs, grabbed the woman, and together went back down the stairs to the safety of the sidewalk. The newspapers reported that five people went to the hospital: the mayor, with smoke inhalation and burns on his right hand, the woman he saved, who was in stable condition with burns to her back and neck, and three members of his security detail.

While the cause of this fire is officially unknown, electrical issues are the suspected cause.

This as a wildly fantastic real-life hero story that didn't have to happen.

Mandated codes exist for a reason.
Insurance companies no longer cover Knob and Tube wiring installed prior to 1950 for a reason.

A $350 comprehensive Home Inspection is a small price to pay to ensure that no one has to play hero for you.
